Dave Allbaugh is Engineering Operations Manager of
the John Deere Product Engineering Center (PEC). The
PEC is responsible for the design and development of
John Deere agricultural tractors, diesel engines,
and other components, and is the largest research
and development facility within Deere.
He has served 30 years with the John Deere in a
number of leadership positions in manufacturing and
product development. As an Operations Manager in
manufacturing, Mr. Allbaugh was responsible for
domestic and international drivetrain manufacturing
facilities which provided components for global
markets. In his current assignment he has been
involved in establishing international product
engineering centers to support localization of Deere
products in South America and Asia.
Mr. Allbaugh holds an Aerospace Engineering degree
from Iowa State University and an MBA from the
University of Northern Iowa. Prior to joining Deere,
he got international experience serving as an Air
Force pilot during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Allbaugh is the past President of the Waterloo
Boys & Girls Club Board of Directors and Treasurer
of the Silos & Smokestack Board of Trustees, an
agricultural heritage preservation/promotion
organization. He currently serves on the UNI
National Agricultural Based Industrial Lubricants
Advisory Board and is also active in the leadership
of his Church.
Mr. Allbaugh grew up in Waterloo, earned a BS in
Aerospace Engineering from Iowa State University,
served as an Air Force pilot in Vietnam, joined John
Deere in 1975, and earned an MBA from the University
of Northern Iowa in 1981.
