Doug Niggley, Georgia TechDoug Niggley is a senior in the school of Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Tech with extensive experience abroad. After completing a language program for business and technology in Germany, he spent one semester at the Technical University of Munich, which was the followed by a five month internship with Lufthansa Technik in Hamburg. Since returning to Georgia Tech he has also served as a student advisor to the committee responsible for developing the International Plan.

The International Engineering Program is a dual-degree program combining a B.A. in German, French and/or Spanish with a B.S. in one of the engineering disciplines.  IEP students study language and culture each semester along with their engineering curriculum. In the fourth year of the five-year program, they then go abroad as interns with engineering based firms in Europe or Latin America, and also as exchange students with one of our partner universities
