  to the 9th Annual International Colloquium on International Engineering Education.  This colloquium is hosted by the International Engineering Program at the University of Rhode Island and is organized in collaboration with a committee of distinguished educators from across the nation.

The theme for this year's colloquium is "Educating Engineers as Global Citizens"

The International Engineering Program is a dual-degree program combining a B.A. in German, French and/or Spanish with a B.S. in one of the engineering disciplines.  IEP students study language and culture each semester along with their engineering curriculum. In the fourth year of the five-year program, they then go abroad as interns with engineering based firms in Europe or Latin America, and also as exchange students with one of our partner universities
