  Stephanie Hann  
 

Stephanie Hann is a DAAD Visiting Assistant Professor of German. She is teaching all levels of German Language and German Studies Courses. Before joining the International Engineering Program, she was teaching as a DAAD Professor at the Universidad de Nuevo León in Monterrey, Mexico where she was chair of the German Section and had designed courses for language teacher training. In Germany she taught at Siemens AG and the Carl-Duisberg-Centre in Munich and worked as a instructional designer, designing and implementing computer-based training software at Siemens AG.

Dr. Hann's research interests focus on crosscultural communication, the use of film and multimedia for intercultural learning, language teaching methodology and teacher training.

The International Engineering Program is a dual-degree program combining a B.A. in German, French and/or Spanish with a B.S. in one of the engineering disciplines.  IEP students study language and culture each semester along with their engineering curriculum. In the fourth year of the five-year program, they then go abroad as interns with engineering based firms in Europe or Latin America, and also as exchange students with one of our partner universities
