Graeme O'Connell
 

Graeme O'Connell

Graeme O'Connell is currently a fifth-year student in the University of Rhode Island's International Engineering Program concerned with China. His engineering discipline is specified as Electrical/Biomedical Engineering. He has recently returned from a one year stint in China where he had spent the first half of the year studying Chinese Language and culture at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, and the second half of the year was spent working for a Pentair Enclosures division in Qingdao, where he worked under Mark Lamps. The International Engineering Program is a dual-degree program combining a B.A. in German, French and/or Spanish with a B.S. in one of the engineering disciplines.  IEP students study language and culture each semester along with their engineering curriculum. In the fourth year of the five-year program, they then go abroad as interns with engineering based firms in Europe or Latin America, and also as exchange students with one of our partner universities
