Myoung-Shin Kim
 

Myoung-Shin Kim

Myoung-Shin Kim is originally from Seoul, South-Korea, and currently a program officer of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in New York. For the last eight years she has been responsible for various DAAD grant programs and she is currently in charge of the graduate scholarship. In addition to program administration she has organized DAAD's annual engineering workshop in conjunction with the ASEE conference, bringing together leading faculty and administrations from the US and Germany. She was trained in Germany as a classical singer and is presently an active soloist in New York City.

The International Engineering Program is a dual-degree program combining a B.A. in German, French and/or Spanish with a B.S. in one of the engineering disciplines.  IEP students study language and culture each semester along with their engineering curriculum. In the fourth year of the five-year program, they then go abroad as interns with engineering based firms in Europe or Latin America, and also as exchange students with one of our partner universities
