Laurie Burger
 

Laurie Burger

Laurie is the Director of Engineering and Product Management for Pentair Electronic Packaing/ Schroff in Warwick, RI. Her responsibilities include Design Engineering, New Product Development, Product Marketing, and OEM Business Development for the Schroff, Birtcher, and Calmark brands of electronic packaging products in North America. Laurie has been with Pentair/Schroff since 1994, working closely with global OEM and product development teams at Pentair in Europe and Asia. Her background includes extensive global experience in product marketing and product development with companies such as Analog Devices, Chesebrough Ponds, and Texas Instruments. Laurie has a BSEE and MSEE from the University of Rhode Island, and holds numerous design patents for medical electronics and robotics.

The International Engineering Program is a dual-degree program combining a B.A. in German, French and/or Spanish with a B.S. in one of the engineering disciplines.  IEP students study language and culture each semester along with their engineering curriculum. In the fourth year of the five-year program, they then go abroad as interns with engineering based firms in Europe or Latin America, and also as exchange students with one of our partner universities
