Katherine D. Klosowski is assistant vice president and senior engineering technical specialist for FM Global, headquartered in Johnston, R.I., USA one of the world’s largest commercial property insurance companies. FM Global, a mutual insurance company with a unique risk management focus, is recognized as the most experienced specialty property risk management organization in the world, providing its clients with insurance capacity, risk assessment and loss prevention engineering expertise and research. In her current role, Ms. Klosowski is responsible for implementing corporate strategies for 1,300 field and account engineers living around the globe, and for solving operational issues which need corporate sponsorship. She has served in her current position since 2007.
Prior to that, Ms. Klosowski lived and worked in Brussels, Belgium for several years, where she managed a group of a dozen engineers who provided loss prevention and risk assessment services to FM Global clients in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. Since joining the organization in 1988 as a field engineer, she has held various engineering positions working with employees and clients in various part of the world, including two years working and living in Manchester, United Kingdom.
Katherine has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, and an MS in Training and Development from Lesley University. In addition to her role at FM Global, Ms. Klosowski serves as a volunteer tutor and as an officer on the board of directors for Project Literacy, an organization based in Watertown, MA that teaches English to immigrants.
