Q18:  What is the IEP House and who gets to live there?

The IEP House is a residential and administrative home for the IEP. The IEP offices are there and about forty IEP students call the IEP House their home. Truly a learning community, it is the place where all IEP students and faculty mingle, and enjoy three meals a day served by Chef Mark Schoenweis. Because of the success of its current home, the IEP is planning a second building right next to the current facility. Soon, the two buildings will have a double occupancy of about 80 students.

The International Engineering Program is a dual-degree program combining a B.A. in German, French and/or Spanish with a B.S. in one of the engineering disciplines.  IEP students study language and culture each semester along with their engineering curriculum. In the fourth year of the five-year program, they then go abroad as interns with engineering based firms in Europe or Latin America, and also as exchange students with one of our partner universities
