URI-Braunschweig Exchange FAQs

Q13:  Can graduate students participate in the URI - Braunschweig Exchange?

Yes! URI and the TU Braunschweig welcome grad students into the program, and are now developing an innovative Dual Degree Program. This will enable engineering students to do part of their graduate work at their home institution and part of their work abroad, and then to receive degrees from both universities. With degree status from both a European and a North American university, dual degree students will be highly qualified for the global workplace.

The International Engineering Program is a dual-degree program combining a B.A. in German, French and/or Spanish with a B.S. in one of the engineering disciplines.  IEP students study language and culture each semester along with their engineering curriculum. In the fourth year of the five-year program, they then go abroad as interns with engineering based firms in Europe or Latin America, and also as exchange students with one of our partner universities
