Q8:  How can I learn German?

Start right away by signing up for appropriate German courses. There are special sections of German for business and engineering students, and you can speed the process by attending URI's German Summer School of the Atlantic where you can do two semesters worth of German in six weeks (eight credits).

TU-Braunschweig also offers an intensive German course for foreigners just before the semester begins, which is available to URI exchange students free of charge!

The International Engineering Program is a dual-degree program combining a B.A. in German, French and/or Spanish with a B.S. in one of the engineering disciplines.  IEP students study language and culture each semester along with their engineering curriculum. In the fourth year of the five-year program, they then go abroad as interns with engineering based firms in Europe or Latin America, and also as exchange students with one of our partner universities
