Friedrich Löhr is the newly arrived Consul General for the Federal Republic of Germany in Boston. Consul General Löhr has a distinguished record of achievement in the German diplomatic service, having served in the Chancellor's Office in Berlin, as well as in several other European locations, at the United Nations in New York, in Sudan, Algiers, Nigeria, China, and most recently as Ambassador to North Korea. He has a law degree from Heidelberg and a Masters in International Relations from Oxford University, and spent a year as an International Relations Fellow at Harvard before assuming his current office. We are grateful to have Consul General Löhr and his expertise, carrying on the long tradition of a close working relationship between the IEP and the German government.
