Evolution™ RC Superspeed Refrigerated Centrifuge

With the SORVALL® Evolution™ RC you make significant gains, not only through higher rpm's and g-forces, but through a variety of features that provide shorter total processing: the time it takes to load a sample, set parameters, perform the separation, and unload. That's where user comfort and speed counts most, that's where the Evolution™ RC delivers best.

NEW - Advanced Functions Module AFM™

• With enhanced functionality, the Evolution with AFM™ includes a 35-program memory, password controlled access ACE™ (òw2dt integrator), energy saver mode, and multiple language options.
• Available as an option on new instruments or as an upgrade to existing instruments.

Features and Benefits

• Maximum Reliability
The Evolution RC achieves high performance levels without dependence on a vacuum system, which leads to less maintenance costs (no vacuum oil, seals, filters to regularly worry about) DuoTherm™ system provides continuous, alternate heating and cooling to hold temperatures to within 2 degrees C, even when the instrument is in standby. Built-in Constant Power System™ (CPS) provides power factor correction to ensure peak instrument performance, even under poor power supply conditions. Input voltage can vary from 187-253 Volts (that is a 66 Volts range!) without speed or temperature control degradation.

• Fastest processing

Process 6 liters in 9 minutes with the new SLC-6000 SUPER-LITE® composite rotor driven by a 3.2 hp motor. Combining speeds up to 26,000 rpm with faster accel/decel times than competitive instruments, the Evolution™ RC does more than reduce spin times; it optimizes your overall productivity.

The Discovery™M120 SE processes sample sizes from 0.2 ml to 8.3 ml.  The Discovery features a small floor footprint, brushless direct drive, very quiet operation, rotor imbalance detection, thermo-electric cooling, and automatic rotor locking.

Legend™ RT Refrigerated Tabletop Centrifuge

The Legend™ RT general purpose tabletop moves high capacity centrifugation onto the fast track. It spins more tubes, at higher RCFs, more rapidly than competitive instruments, and can process three liters of sample in a single run. Add to that sophisticated microplate processing capabilities - plus the versatility to meet your future needs - and you can be confident that the Legend will keep your research, as well as your productivity, on the fast track too!

Features and Benefits:

• Fast Track Sample Throughput
   - The Legend RT can spin up to 80 tubes per hour at 80% higher speeds than competitive general purpose centrifuges for over twice the throughput
• Safe Operation for you and you sample with SMARTspin™
   - The SMARTspin™ Imbalance Detection System provides optimum run stability for all rotors at all speeds and allows for eye balancing of sample tubes
• Wide Range of rotors for every application
   - Rotors for every application makes the Legend RT the flexible choice. Process three liters of sample in the 4 x 750mL rotor's round buckets - then change to rectangular buckets which can accommodate twice as many tubes as previous models. Legend rotors offer outstanding capacity and high RCFs for tissue culture, virological tests, DNA/protein precipitations, and more!
