This project will take a biochemistry approach to studying enzyme activity and expression in the liver, and how they are modified by diseases such as obesity, diabetes, cirrhosis, cholestasis, bile duct obstruction, and dyslipidemia. Student will work directly with the PI and with a senior graduate student. Ability to do careful labwork is needed. Interest in enzyme action is helpful, but not required. Additional opportunity for computer modeling of protein action available.
