6 Simple Steps to Apply for a National Exchange Placement

 

Step One

 

Complete the online general information session and fill out the student information form at the end.

 

Step Two

 

Research schools and programs by visiting nse.org and university profile pages. Be sure to use the tips listed in the General Information Session.

 

Step Three

 

Make an appointment to meet with the NSE advisor, and please bring printed, completed application. Applications cannot be submitted electronically.

To set up an appointment for NSE or to submit an application, you MUST meet with an advisor by calling the International Center at 401-874-5546.

 

Step Four

 

Download the file below and complete the application electronically. Once finished, print the completed form to submit to the NSE Office.

Step Five

 

Seek a professor or an academic advisor that can recommend you for National Student Exchange. They do NOT need to write a full letter of recommendation - just fill out the form below and sign it. The reference form can be e-mailed to nse@etal.uri.edu, or mailed to our office.

Step Six

Drop off the completed application to the International Center by the following deadlines:

Fall 2014 and Spring 2015 Deadline:

February 21, 2014

Please call or email the International Center for campus availability after the 21st.

2014-2015 Scholarship Deadline:

February 1, 2014

Early applicants are automatically entered into a $500 scholarship drawing.
