How to apply for NSE through URI
Step 1: Complete the online general information session at uri.edu/international/nsegis and fill out the student information form at the end.
Step 2: Research schools and programs by visiting nse.org and University homepages.
Step 3: Fill out the online application. The statement of purpose should be a short explanation of why you want to participate in NSE and what your goals are for the program.
The early application deadline for the 2012-2013 Academic Year is March 1st, 2012
Applications will be accepted on a rolling, space-available basis after March 15th.

Step 4: The reference form: A professor or an academic NSE advisor can fill this out for you. They do NOT need to write a full letter of recommendation- just fill out this form and sign it. Your reference can e-mail this form to nse@etal.uri.edu, or mail a hard copy to our office.

Step 5: Print out the application and meet with an NSE advisor. We will not accept application submitted electronically. You MUST meet with an advisor/ Call the Office of International Education and National Student Exchange at 401-874-5546 to set up an appointment for NSE.
