Travel to North India (out of Delhi), Pune and Mumbai to observe manufacturing and engineering in large, medium and small factories. Participants will complete a course on Manufactuing Processes while enrolled in the program.

 

Academics:

Students will enroll in ISE 240 (Manufacturing Processes) or ISE 391 (Independent Study).

Students registering for ISE 240 will be required to begin on-line classes prior to departure (From April 15, once a week), and will be graded based on their performance in quizzes.

Two quizzes will be administered online before the departure date, two additional quizzes will be given during the tour and a final exam will be required within a week of returning to the US.

Students who register for ISE 391 will work with the instructor to write an independent report, and the grade will be based entirely on the report.

Cultural Activities:

Students will engage in cultural excursions while in India including: factory visits, visits to the Taj Mahal and Red Fort, and other cultural sites in North India, Pune and Mumbai.
