The Dominican Republic occupies the eastern two-thirds of the island of Hispaniola in the beautiful Caribbean. It shares the island with the Creole-French-speaking Haiti located at the western end of the island. This group will travel to the city of Cotui in the Dominican Republic where they will have an opportunity to spend 2 weeks living and working with the sick and poor in the developing Caribbean nation.

Academics:

  • Students will earn 3 credits in NUR 446: Directed Study for RN Students
  • This program is open to URI Nursing students who already have a RN
  • This program has limited space available

Housing and Dining:

While in the Dominican Republic, students will have double occupancy housing in a dormitory setting. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided.

In-State: $2,045.00      Out-of-State: $2,590.00
