Meet with a Study Abroad Advisor

After completing an online GIS, and prior to applying to a program (both affiliated and unaffiliated programs), you MUST schedule an appointment with a Study Abroad Advisor to discuss how it may impact YOUR academic program plan.

  • You are selecting a study abroad program that is best suited for you (personally, academically, in-line with future goals, etc.)
  • You are familiar with URI study abroad policies.
  • You are aware of the responsibilities related to overseas study.

Please call 401-874-5546, or altertatively stop by our office at 107 Taft Hall to schedule an appointment.

Please Note: Remember that there are peak times during each semester and that you may not be able to meet with an advisor right away so plan accordingly.

  • Students who wish to study abroad during the summer term are not obligated to see an advisor. However, the OIE staff is always available to answer questions regarding summer programs.
  • For information regarding summer programs visit the OIE website at www.uri.edu/international/study_abroad/summer
