Celebrating its sixtieth year of education in 2003, UIA in Mexico City is home to 9,500 undergraduates. The home stay opportunity allows students to fully immerse themselves in Mexican Culture as well as practice their Spanish language skills.

Eligibility Requirements
Junior or Senior standing
2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale

Tuition and Expenses*

  • Tuition and fees (URI in-state tuition and fees)
  • Room and board paid to UIA
  • Off-campus fee $293
  • Administrative fee $350
  • Insurance $973**

*NOTE: fees are subject to change
**May be waived with proof of own insurance and completion of waiver form

Room and Board

  • Students are placed in private Mexican residencies
  • Meal plans are arranged by the student, either by paying the host family for providing meals or by using the University cafeterias.
