URI Exchange Programs

Canada

New England/Nova Scotia

The New England/Nova Scotia Student Exchange Program allows URI students to attend one of eleven colleges or universities in the province of Nova Scotia, Canada. Student can choose to attend school in the European-style harbor city of Halifax or other schools located in charming small towns.

Eligibility Requirements

  • 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Sophomore standing or higher
  • Command of French language necessary if attending a French-speaking institution

Tuition and Expenses*

  • Tuition an fees (URI in-state tuition and fees)
  • Room and board - variable
  • Off-campus fee $336
  • Administrative fee $350
  • Insurance $973**

*NOTE: fees are subject to change
**May be waived with proof of own insurance and completion of waiver form
