URI IN CALABRIA, ITALY
SUMMER 2006
June 23 - July 20

Apartment Location

Some students may stay in one building where apartments are rented. The building is located in a good and safe area. On the first floor, there is a cafeteria/pizzeria and behind the building, there is a mini market (both have public phone services). The distance from these apartments to the classroom is a 11 to 13 minute walk.  For an extra fee, transportation services can be provided if necessary.

Apartment Accommodation

Students will stay in shared apartments.  Due to the large numbers of students, we cannot offer identical apartments with identical furniture to every student.  Hence,  apartments will vary slightly with regard to style and furniture.   Room services are not provided and students are expected to keep their room clean.  Students can pay an extra fee to locals to do their laundry and washing, but washing machines are not provided.

All apartments have warm showers (students should keep the switcher "on" the boiler,) beds (we provide bed linens,) dressers, refrigerator with freezer, chairs, and a common table.  There is no air conditioning, however; the weather in Calabria tends to be dry and breezy, so the apartments should remain relatively cool.
