Information for Current International Students

Current International Students (F-1/J-1) need to follow some guidelines set by the Department of Homeland Security during their complete studies at URI.

Citizens or Nationals of Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Kuwait, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Eritrea, Lebanon, Morocco, North Korea, Oman, Qatar, Somalia, Tunisia, United Arab Emigrates, Yemen, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Sudan and Syria, please click here.

Address Update
Every time you move or there is a change in the information you have provided to OISS, you must notify OISS. Click here to download a new registration form.
Staying in Status
Once you entered the US as an undergraduate or graduate F-1/J-1 student, the Department of Homeland Security requires that you follow certain regulations. Please click here to read more on these requirements.
Part-Time Information
All F-1/J-1 students must be registered for a full load of courses. If you must register for less than the required credits, click here.
