Re-configuring Email
Re-Configuring Windows E-mail Software for mail.uri.eduEudora:
Pull down the Tools menu, select Options, and then Getting Started. Enter information as follows:
- In the Return address field: your e-Campus user ID followed by @mail.uri.edu; for example, smith123@mail.uri.edu.
- In the Mail Server (Incoming) field: mail.uri.edu
- In the Login Name field: your e-Campus user ID. For example, smith123.
- In the SMTP Server (Outgoing) field: smtpserv.uri.edu
MS Outlook Express:
Pull down the Tool menu, select Accounts, select the Mail tab, click Add and then select Mail. The Internet Connection Wizard window will appear, as illustrated below.
- Select POP3 or IMAP from the My incoming mail server is... pull-down menu. POP3 protocol will download messages to your computer, IMAP protocol will leave the messages on the server.
- Enter mail.uri.edu in the Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server: field, and smtpserv.uri.edu in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: field.
