Faculty: Professor Thomas Husband In Summer of 2006 a group of nine students from the University of Rhode Island traveled to Costa Rica to study mammal bio-diversity at the Hilda Coffee Farm and the surrounding rainforests. This field experience was organized and headed by Dr. Thomas Husband and Professor David Abedon of the University of Rhode Island College of Environmental and Life Sciences. This is just one example of the experiencial learning opportunities available to students at URI. To support and document this research project, numerous DPRC resources were made available e.g. HDV digital video cameras, to document the feildwork; a professional videographer; and AVID video editing workstations for post production.
