Endeavor Website

Endeavor Tour

The Endeavor website was an STA Project which was complete using the equipment and programs available to the URI community through the ITC lab.

Faculty: Assistant Marine Research Scientist Dwight Coleman and Marine Research Associate Maryann Scholl
Graduate School of Oceanography and Marine Office Programs
STA: Kristina Golubiewski and Nate Haskins
Date: 2006

The Endeavor Expeditions website was built with the purpose of providing a site for the public to learn about the expeditions of the Research Vessel Endeavor. The site contains a database of recent expeditions along with information and pictures for each of the expeditions. There is also an area to learn about the crew and the operations of the ship. Along with the expedition pages, there is information on the Rhode Island Teachers at Sea program. The RITAS program works with local Rhode Island teachers who want to participate in the R/V Endeavor expeditions.

The site was originally developed to support several expeditions in the Black Sea,Mediterranean, and the Sea of Crete. The expeditions took place between April and June 2006. It is currently being redesigned to confrom to the new URI web template and is being continuously updated so that it is current with the expeditions of the R/V Endeavor.

Camtasia was used to provide a means for the STA team to show the site to viewers who don't have access privileges to the actual site. To learn more about Camtasia, click here.
