Converting PowerPoint slides into 35mm film
- Start the PowerPoint program.
- Open the PowerPoint file that you have already created.
- Save the PowerPoint file or slides into any one of the following formats: .BMP, .PJC, .DIB, .JPC, .PCT, .PSD, .TIF, or .WMF.
- Under PowerPoint, choose File.
- Select Save As.
- Choose any of the formats listed above.
- Give it a name and click on Save.
You are now finished with the PowerPoint part of this procedure. Continue as follows:
- Run the Premiere program.
- Click on Start, Adobe, and on Adobe Premiere.
- Choose File, New, Project.
- Select one of the available choices and click OK.
- If the Construction Window is not available, click on Windows in the menu choices.
- Choose Construction.
- Edit your slides by selecting one or all from the Project window and placing them into the Construction window.
- Add the Transitions or Audio files if you need them.
- After you are done editing, press the enter key any time to see what you have done so far.
- Select Yes when you are asked to save.
- Give it a name then click Save.
- Make sure to save it in PPJ format.
You are now ready to play the movie you just made and record it onto video tape. Continue as follows:
- Check the plugs in back of the computer and the VCR to insure that they are connected properly. The cable should be connected already.
- Start the Premiere program.
- Choose File, Open, select the movie files to be played, and click Open.
- Make sure the tape is in the VCR and press record to record a few seconds of blank screen.
- Within Premiere, click on Play to view the movie and record at the same time.
- When recording is in progress, the cursor will disappear. Double-click the mouse any time to stop the recording.
- When you are done, eject your tape out of the VCR. Do not disconnect anything.
