Kaskosz Camtasia Project

kaskosz camtasia

Faculty: Professor Barbara Kaskosz
Department of Mathematics
STA: Kristina Golubiewski
Date: 2006

The Math DL Forum Tour video was created as a video tour of the Math DL Flash Forum website. In this project, we began by recording digital video of Professor Barbara Kaskosz and Professor Doug Ensley of Shippensburg University as they described the important areas of the website. A brief introduction about themselves is also provided. We also captured screen video for the website as they described it, using Camtasia. Once the two types of video were recorded, they were input into Avid to be combined. In Avid we created a picture in picture video that incorporated both videos. Finally, we output the Avid file into a QuickTime movie and converted the movie to .flv using Flash 8. The final video was 15 minutes long.

Visit the Math DL Flash Forum to view the video

The Math DL Flash forum is a site that is dedicated to the use of Flash in the math classroom. It is a project funded by a grant from the National Science Association. Barbara Kaskosz, from the University of Rhode Island and Doug Ensley, from Shippensburg University, are the professors who maintain this site. The video is available for viewing on the Flash Forum website.
