Students Studying in CML

Scope

  1. Examples of materials to be collected in the CML include but are not limited to:
    1. State Adopted Textbooks (preK-12, all subjects)
    2. Reference and Professional Resources print and electronic materials
    3. Lesson Plans, Curriculum Guides and Standards, and Learning activities
    4. Professional Educational Software
    5. Children and Young Adult Literature in English, Spanish, Italian, German, and Portuguese
    6. Non-print Materials such as kits, puppets, posters, pictures, manipulatives, and media
    7. Educational computer software compatible with both PCs and Macintosh for preK-12 will be collected with an emphasis on new and emerging technologies
    8. Kraus Curriculum Development Library (KCDL) online collection
  2. Resources written in the English language will be collected; materials used to teach foreign languages/multicultural education classes are included
  3. Teaching materials published within the last ten years will be collected; selected items of historical or research value will be retained
  4. Materials that feature educational methods and resources used in the United States will be collected; the focus will be on materials used in Rhode Island local school districts where teacher students receive field placement
  5. Emphasis will be placed on collecting materials on gender issues, disability, underserved populations, diversity, and multicultural issues
