If you aren’t sure exactly how a person is listed, make sure you search for their name in a variety of ways, such as “Tillinghast, Frank,” “Tillinghast, F,” or simply "Tillinghast.” Each of these searches will bring up a different set of results.

The results of your search will be displayed in alphabetical order by Last Name. At the top of the screen, you will see the total number of records found, the number of pages needed to display the records (if greater than one page), and a number of navigation tools. Individual records may be marked by clicking in the box to the left of the Last Name. Once marked, records can be batch printed or downloaded, and the Details for marked records can be viewed on one screen.

To view the Details for a particular listing, click on the Last Name. The Detailed Listing includes Name, Address, City, State, Zip, and County. A “Map It!” link from the Detailed Listing allows you to view the location of the residence on a map that can be zoomed in or out.

Another tool allows you to generate a list of neighbors within a radius of one tenth of a mile to 20 miles. Also displayed in the Detailed Listing is Median Household Income and Median Home Value from the most recent Census of Population and Housing, the latitude and longitude of the residence, and the percentage of owner occupied housing in the area.

Alternately, select the “Custom Search” tab from the menu bar at the top of the Quick Search screen. “Custom Search” allows you to choose your own search criteria from a menu of choices. “Custom Search” is especially useful if you have incomplete information, for example if you know only the Last Name and the street name, or perhaps the house number. With “Custom Search” you can also make a search more specific by adding criteria such as Middle Initial or Area Code. After selecting your “Custom Search” criteria, click on the “Create Search Form” button, enter your data as prompted, and search.
