Terrorism

Practical guide to the logistics of counterterrorism.  Content includes:  responses to hostage situations, dealing with the effects of a bomb attack, and properly commanding a counterterrorism operation.  Intended primarily for professionals, but readable to a layperson.  Appendices include a brief summary of the events of 9/11, an overview of U.S.-designated state-sponsored terrorism, and a directory of terrorist organizations.  Includes index.

U.S. Dept. of State "Response to Terrorism"
The State Department's main terrorism information page.  Contains various documents, fact sheets, terrorist group funding information, a list of U.S. designated terrorist groups, and other related content.  Includes annual reports to Congress on the state of terrorism around the globe, which includes strategic assessments, breakdowns by region, and worldwide terrorism statistics.  Also contains some related literature such as White House reports and executive branch press releases on terrorism.
