Electronic indexes and databases

Indexes, such as periodical indexes, allow you to search for articles published in periodicals or journals. Some of the indexes listed here also permit the retrieval of the full text of a given article. Please note that an index and a catalog are not the same type of discovery tool. A catalog (HELIN) allows you to determine if a periodical or journal title is part of a library's collection. An index (PsycINFO, Research Library, et al.) allows you to search for articles within periodicals or journals.
