Faculty
Senators are elected for three-year terms on the basis of one senator for
each ten full-time faculty members or majority fraction thereof. A
senator whose three-year term expires may not be re-elected until the lapse
of one year. For additional information, see

Graduate
Council Representative
The Library Faculty has one
representative on the Graduate Council. Prior to the expiration date of the
term of the Graduate Council member, the Dean of Libraries appoints a
nominating committee consisting of library faculty. This committee shall
nominate at least two members of the library faculty to fill the vacancy.
Nominees shall be presented to the library faculty in a special meeting, and
further nominations may be made from the floor at that time. Elections shall
be in May and shall be determined by a majority vote.
Representatives shall serve for one three-year term or for a specified
portion of an unexpired term. A
representative whose three-year term expires may
not be re-elected until the lapse of one year. For

University Manual.

One faculty member from the University Libraries shall serve on the
Curricular Affairs Committee. When the position becomes vacant, the Library
Faculty shall nominate two experienced and knowledgeable faculty members
holding the rank of Instructor or above. The representative will be chosen
by the Chairperson of the Senate and confirmed by the Senate. Terms shall be
for three years.

Education
Committee Representative
One faculty member from the University Libraries shall serve on the
University College and General Education Committee. When the position
becomes vacant, the Library Faculty shall nominate two knowledgeable and
experienced faculty members.
The
representative will be chosen by the Chairperson of the Senate and will be
confirmed by the Senate. Terms shall be for three years.
