Featured in this month’s lobby display are social aspects of food in the arts (art, film, and literature) and the history of food habits from prehistory and primitive peoples to the current time. Also exhibited are cookbooks from New England and other regions of the country, types of cooking (e.g. popcorn), and books on canning and preserving. The display also includes books about nutrition and its counterpart, comfort food. This display was created by Cherine Whitney of the University Library’s Reference Unit. |
