Look! Remember April 9, 2002 is Holocaust Remembrance Day. Located in the URI Library lobby, the exhibition Look! Remember displays information resources for the history of the Holocaust. This exhibit includes materials from the URI Library’s Media Resources Center, Special Collections, the Reference and circulating collections, as well as suggested Internet sites. Topics include the Jewish people in Rhode Island, art and artists during the Holocaust, and poetry by Czeslaw Milosz. Elie Wiesel’s contemporary speech, The Perils of Indifference is added with the hope that those who recognize injustice in the world will move to stop it quickly, but peacefully.
