This month's display is comprised of images from the Reanimation Library's online image archive. The Reanimation Library is a small, independent presence library located in Brooklyn, NY. It is a collection of books that have fallen out of routine circulation and been acquired for their visual content. Outdated and discarded, they have been culled from thrift stores, stoop sales, and throw-away piles, and given new life as a resource for artists, writers, cultural archeologists, and other interested parties. The books are select titles that URI and the Reanimation Library both own. You can browse the Reanimation Library's image archive here. In March and April, a branch of the Reanimation Library will be in residence at 186 Carpenter, a storefront on the West Side of Providence that presents arts programming. Workshops and events are free and open to the public; open hours (available at 186carpenter.com) are another way to access the collection. 186 Carpenter is located at:
