The difference between Audio Tapes and Audio Books is a subtle one and there is some overlap between the two. Audio Books are strictly books on tape. Audio Tapes, however, also include political and language-related materials (for example, J.F.K. Presidential Recordings or the Pronouncing American English series) in addition to books or other traditionally written material that has been converted into a verbal format (for example, various Shakespeare works on tape).
