After a gap of several years because of staffing shortages, the Reference Faculty have restored E-Mail Reference Service. The service is available at libref@etal.uri.edu. You can now ask questions directed to reference librarians. Be sure your question is clear and specific, and include your name and e-mail address in case the librarian needs to contact you personally. Questions are treated confidentially. Expect to hear a response from a librarian in 24-48 hours, depending on staff availability. The Reference Desk will continue to take phoned-in questions during their regular hours (874-2653).
