It will take approximately 15-20 minutes, and you can include your email at the end to be included in a drawing for prizes, including a $500 gift certificate to Ram Computing. This study is a project of the University Libraries of the University of Rhode Island to collect data on the satisfaction of library patrons with library services. Responses to these items will be will be collected by a web-based survey which will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD to be in this research project.
If you decide to take part in this study, your participation will involve filling out a web survey pertaining to your satisfaction with library services.
The possible risks or discomforts of the study are minimal, and are associated with the approximately 15-20 minutes of computer use required to finish the survey.
Although there are no direct benefits of the study to you, your answers will help increase the knowledge regarding the needs and wants of Library patrons. As the Library improves its services to match patron needs, all patrons will benefit.
Your part in this study is anonymous. That means that your answers to all questions are private. While IP addresses are briefly captured, this information is not connected to responses and is not reported to the Library. No one else can know if you participated in this study and no one else can find out what your answers were. Exception: 50 participant emails will be used to randomly select winners of incentives. These emails cannot be connected to answers and will not be used for any other purpose. Winners may be asked for permission to be identified as winners, but may refuse with no penalty. Reports are based on group data and will not identify you or any individual as being in this project. Furthermore, the data is intended only for review of library programs.
The decision to participate in this research project is up to you. You do not have to participate, and you can refuse to answer any question. You can quit the survey at any time, although only participants finishing the survey will be able to submit email addresses for the incentive drawing.
