Historical Serials Cancellations
At the University Library

Over the past few decades, the University Library has undertaken a number of serials cancellation projects. Because of subscription costs that increase at a much greater rate than library budgets, college and university libraries everywhere have been forced to drastically cut their subscriptions to scholarly journals and other periodicals.

The lists below have been re-created from historical documents and may not be 100% correct. In some cases, titles dropped were replaced by new titles more relevant to the changing interests of researchers at URI. In other cases, cancelled titles were reinstated at a later date. The lists below do not include these additions.
