LIONS.....

 

A ca. 1909 Peerless pattern was used to make this timelessly elegant lion.

 

And Tigers ....

These stuffed toys were  made by CoPA volunteer Master Seamstress Roberta Hale.  These and others were replicated faithfully by Roberta following the vintage patterns in the Commercial Pattern Archives, housed in the Special Collections Unit, Robert L. Carothers Library, University of Rhode Island. On display now until January 2010, 2nd floor.

                                                                              

 

This felt Tigger was made from a McCall's pattern for Winnie the Pooh Characters dated 1965.

This pair of novelty Pierrot dolls were meant to hang stylishly from the window of an automobile similar to the ones pictured here driving down Kingston Rd.
