March 31st

Dr. Alice H.R.H. Beckwith
professor of Art History, Providence College
Visual Poetry, the Eragny Press, 1894-1914
The Eragny Press was established in 1894 by wood engraver, Lucien Pissaro and his wife, Esther, the printer and binder.  The press was active until 1914.

April 26th
Laurie Whitehill Chong
Readers' Services Librarian and book artist
 
of The Rhode Island School of Design Library will talk
 about the book as an art form.  She will bring samples from  RISD's book arts collection.

May 13th
Robert Farwell
Head, Reference, Norwich Public Library, CT
 processor of the Richard Wilmarth Papers, URI Special Collections, will discuss the life and work of Richard Wilmarth, URI'88 (1948-2003), poet and proprietor of Dead Metaphor Press.   
 

The lectures are free and open to the public.
Light refreshments will be served.
