GOOD THINGS COME IN ....
According to the sixth
edition of Harrod's Librarian' Glossary, P. 511 a miniature book is defined as a
"very small book, generally 3 inches (10 cm) or less in height, conceived as
a whole on a tiny scale, printed with small type on suitable paper, bound in a
binding which is tooled delicately and if illustrated having drawings or
reproductions which are in keeping with the size of the book. Many distinguished
printers and publishers have issued such books. They include bibles, books of
devotion, almanacs, the poets, the classics, books for children, etc. Also
called 'Lilliput edition', 'Microscopic edition."
