 Historical Information

This collection of oral histories was conducted during 1987 and 1988 by !Improvise! Inc., an improvisational theater group. The purpose was to uncover the past experiences of a group of older Hispanic citizens, most of whom emigrated to the city of Providence from the Dominican Republic.

The oral history interviews were to be used as the basis of a dramatic presentation developed and performed by the interviewees in conjunction with the project staff.
