Aida Marissa Smiths "Mapping the literature of dietetics" (Bull. Med
Libr Assoc, 87(3), July, 1999, p.292-297), identifies 86 journal titles as the core
literature of dietetics [these 86 titles provide two-thirds of all of the articles cited].
Eight of these titles, all of which are held at URI, provide one-third of all of the
citations. We have 62 of the 86 titles in the core list, which provides substantial
in-house coverage for the dietetics community at URI.
