| Current periodicals, including journals, magazines and
newspapers are located near the main staircase on the lower level. Only the latest issues (ones
from the current year or volume) are kept in this area. Older issues are bound into
volumes and are shelved in the Serial Stacks, also on the lower level. Both current and bound
periodicals are shelved in order by their call numbers. |
| Call numbers for the
periodicals that URI carries can be found by searching the HELIN
catalog which will also tell you which volumes are bound and which are current. Many
of the titles are indexed in the Library's print and electronic resources. (Directory) |

staff ID. Turning right from the main stairway on the Lower Level will get

| The Student Computing Facility
provides over 100 computers for students, faculty and staff to access email
and the Internet, type papers and use other software applications. Printers
are available. |

| Most of the Lower Level stores the bound serials, older
issues of periodicals that are bound into volumes like books. Current periodicals are
located near the main staircase. Both current and bound
periodicals are shelved in order by their Library of Congress call numbers. |
