Finding journals, Example

Art Bulletin is available at a few of the libraries that are a part of HELIN, including URI. Searching for the journal Art Bulletin brings up the following screen:

You may find other journals with similar titles on the first click, so select the title of the journal you want:

Clicking on the first Art Bulletin link brings up a record similar to that of a book and gives information such as title, publisher, location, call number and status. It also identifies the volumes/years that the library owns in the LIB. HAS line.

Clicking on Latest Received will bring you to a screen that will show which issues have been received, and whether they are on the shelves, at the bindery, or have been bound:

Keeping in mind that the most recently received journals (those marked Arrived) are located on the Main Floor, and bound journals are on the Lower Level, you can use the call number to find the journal you are looking for.

Note that this journal is also available as an online resource. Clicking on the second Art Bulletin link...

...will allow you to electronically browse through the issues that are available online.
