Once again the
University of Rhode Island presents an exciting program of activities to recognize
and
celebrate the rich and diverse personal heritages present in our campus community.
The Fifth Annual Diversity Week, October 1st - 5th 2001, will feature workshops, films and
videos,
exhibitions, a poetry slam, and other celebrations of multiculturalism. By
diversity we mean to be inclusive of cultural and ethnic identity, and of distinctions by
language, race, gender, disability, age, sexual orientation, class, rural or urban roots
or other groupings. Below you will find the schedule of events. Please encourage
