Multicultural Unity and Student Involvement Council (MUSIC)
The Multicultural Center recognizes the value of a formal structure for student input and a strengthened linkage to an important constituency - students. Consequently, the Multicultural Center has created a student advisory committee to assist the Center.
The Multicultural Unity and Student Involvement Council (MUSIC) is dedicated to developing a supportive and inclusive campus culture across the boundaries of race, culture, identity, and academic discipline. MUSIC will encourage all multicultural students in the URI community to take a more active role on campus to increase the level of understanding and acceptance of multicultural points of view. MUSIC will be the advising voice of URI’s multicultural students, faculty, staff, and community to the campus. MUSIC encourages URI’s students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, and other friends to join in its work in creating a community of learners and leaders within and beyond URI.
