World Arts Classes

Participants in World Arts can register for classes of their choice as long as there are available spaces. WORLD VOICES, WORLD VISIONS reserves the right to substitute staff or classes when necessary. Notification of changes occurring prior to Tuesday, July 1, 2004 will be posted by e-mail to fully enrolled registrants.

TUITION/CLASSES FEES

For on-campus Residential and Full-Time Commuter participants in WORLD ARTS, tuition includes fees for classes, evening events, and the Grand Concert. For Part-Time Commuter participants in WORLD ARTS, tuition is $150 for one class; $200 for two classes; and $250 for three classes. Classes in the Expressive Arts may incorporate an additional fee for materials payable directly to the instructor before the start of the first class.

For Commuter participants in WORLD LEARNING, participants are charged $100 in addition to the cost of tuition to attend URI.  This $100 fee will allow admission to World Arts classes, evening events, and the Grand Concert.

For on-campus resident and commuter participants in WORLD VILLAGE, tuition includes fees for classes, evening events, and the Grand Concert.

HOUSING AND MEALS

Housing is in a dormitory room with air conditioning. Beginning with dinner on Sunday evening, July 18, and concluding with breakfast on Saturday morning, July 24, housing and meals fees provide for three meals per day Monday, July 19 through Friday, July 23, 2004, for a total of 17 meals. Vegetarian meals will be available.

Commuter participants may purchase a meal plan which provides one lunch per weekday, totaling five meals, for $40.

Dormitories will be open for occupancy by 3 PM on Sunday, July 18 and must be vacated by 10 AM on Saturday, July 24. Arrangements for storing luggage at another venue until later departure on Saturday can be arranged upon request if needed.

FAMILY-FRIENDLY POLICIES

Families will not be charged for children 5 or younger. If advised by no later than Monday, June 2, 2004, WORLD VOICES, WORLD VISIONS will assist in identifying child care providers who can be hired at an hourly rate by families.

While rooms are double occupancy, families may choose to sleep more than two to a room. Full housing rates will apply for the first four individuals 5 or older.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

Requests for refunds must be received via e-mail, fax, or in writing.

For cancellations where notice is received at WORLD VOICES, WORLD VISIONS by Tuesday, July 1, 2004, a $100 processing fee will be charged per family transaction. For cancellations received after Tuesday, July 1, and until Friday, July 16, 2004, one-half of the full tuition paid per transaction will be refunded. No refunds will be returned when notice is received by WORLD VOICES, WORLD VISIONS after Friday, July 16, 2004, or when there is a need for an early departure.
