Introduction:

Uhuru SASA believes that people who are interested in Black unity, Black pride, and Black awareness should work together in order to realize these ideals.

Mission:

Founded in 1968 and Established in 1972; Uhuru SaSa (Sasa) denotes "Freedom Now." Sasa's purpose is dedicated to establishing and maintaining the cultural, social, and educational enrichment of all people who work and study at the University of Rhode Island and it's neighboring community. It is its intention to accomplish this through the pursuit of educational, historical, literary and artistic functions.

Our Colors: Gold, Green, Black and Red. These colors represent the colors of the Pan African Nation. GOLD is for the richness of the people, BLACK is for the people, RED is for the blood shed and GREEN is for the earth

Our Motto: First Today, Tomorrow, and Yesterday.
